All Races Given Notice - Free Slaves Or Perish¶
Sect of the Warden¶
Jesra [Sect of the Warden]
YC106-08-27 00:01:00
Release given to EveGuardian moments ago.
We, the Sect of the Warden, Degraded MinMatar and banned from our families and our lives, proclaim that we are the group responsible for the release of the retrovirus aboard seven ships in the Amarr system.
In synchronization with cohorts from Amarr, MinMatar, Caldari and Gallente, we also proclaim that this effort continues even now. Know this people of Eve - though the Amarr are the primary targets of this virus, all races will be affected until the Amarr release from enslavement every last MinMatar. It is possible that all races, all men, women and children will become host to our efforts.
Do not construe this as the systematic genocide of every soul in the worlds of Eve. This virus is designed to provide complete immunity for MinMatar whose bodies were once or are still infected by Vitoc compounds. To all other races or to MinMatar who have never been subjected to Vitoc, death is assured. Do not inject yourselves with Vitoc to sa***uard yourself; the retrovirus affects only MinMatar in this way whose bodies have developed Long-Range RNA antibodies to fight Vitoc poisoning; a process possible only after several years of poisoning.
Our initial groundwork for infection in Amarr was sidestepped when the young Amarri pilot, Jafi Aphuka, cleverly sent secret escrow to various Amarrian officials and corporations the misgivings of his work. Although we have abandoned that initial phase of our plan, just as we abandoned the pilot to his fate, the Sect of the Warden now is ready for the next step of our plan.
Whereas none of the other races are immune, there is a medical solution, a treatment for the virus the Amarr are calling the Scourge. Many will die. Who will be the first? Is that knowledge something you can live with?
The Sect has placed four delivery cases with enough supplies to treat one hundred people in escrow on the Pator Tech School station, Amamake system. These escrows are available to all, and contain your races' specific treatment. A representative from each of the four involved races is asked to claim these cases for their race; these items are available only for six days as of the date of this release. Of course, you will likely attempt to reverse engineer the treatment and produce more futile effort. Do not waste time.
On the seventh day, if the Amarr have not begun efforts to transition the Matari slaves to freedom in an acceptable and orderly manner, our fleet of ships will dock at every major station in every empire-based system. When and where these ships will dock, in what order, under what banner, manned by what race will never be learned. Some may contain the virus, others will not. Do not waste time.

This proves but one thing:
That it is time to close the borders and the unholy highways, give Amarr pilots leeway in dealing with foreign traders in the (then again existant) border zones, ban the majority of foreign companies and stations from Amarr, strengthen our navy and commence the reclaiming as commanded by god.
Nonetheless I think that these are but hollow threats as the security measures in place on all Amarr stations should suffice to stop this 'threat'. The Minmatar that desecrate our stations with their presence regularly carry so many pests and parasites that our medical safety protocols are strict and airtight.

Shar kicks the console, "Damn Caldari piece of crap! Move faster!!" She looks up seeing the Amamake gate ahead. NavCom reports active combat having taken place in the system with several pods destroyed.
"Damn, is my clone up to date?" flashes through her mind. "Well here goes... everything!"
With the jump scrambling consumes her senses, sight is lost. Then the ever stressful notice appears on display, Entering Space: Tuning in on sub-space frequency, driving Shar almost insane with worry.
{Clear! Think}
Bookmark -> Deep Space -> Safespot!
The merlin, left over junk ship from a deal gone wrong, turns into the warp clearing Shar from the area around the gate. Looking into LocalComm Shar doesn't notice any known threats prowling around the system.
"... no facial hair but I swear to you I am the finest male specimen that can be located in the known "multi-verse."
"General hail to all you pilots out there!"
"Shar? Don't you write or something? I think I've seen the name... "
"No time, has any suspicious characters been coming through system?"
"Nah... been here for the past hour, nothing going on."
"Well that might change. Terrorist note and all that, might get crowded. If you are faint of heart keep an eye on localcomm and bug out if it get's ugly. Out here."
{Maybe I can catch them}
NavComm -> Station -> Pator Tech School -> Dock
**
Looking around the loading docks and cargo holds has produced nothing. Plugging to the escrow systems brings nothing. "I'm early," then Shar changes her mind, "Nah likely some bugger grabbed them from afar looking to extort the market. Damn! Damn! And triple Damn!!"
Walking back to the ship hold area Shar notices a cloaked figure moving quickly towards a ship of strange design. It came from Escrow. Running towards the figure Shar stumbles across some coolant hoses and falls.
"Why, dammit to all hells, why?!?" Is hurled at the retreating figure.
To save the galaxy, of course. You care, so it is your job.
**
Four secure boxes. Four hundred people.
Amarr, Caldari, Gallente, and my own Matari.

Looking off into space, through the virtual display, towards a cloaked retreating figure.
To save the galaxy, hunh?
Damn you again!

Ms. Tegral,
If you should be in possession of these treatment packages, I implore you to turn them over to the appropriate authorities immediately. There are many Amarrians here at the Emperor's Station in Amarr that need this medicine. I implore you.
Tharnn,
The damage is already done. Our station protocols failed. In many cases, we ourselves brought the contagion in without knowing. I do not believe anything but a complete shutdown of all traffic in and out will contain this outbreak.
Terrorists are at our doorsteps. God will help us, I'm sure, but right now we need logic tempered by faith, not faith tempered by ego.

Shar Tegral pulls in and slams the aging merlin to the dock floor after a hot dual mwd burst towards the Station. Looking around for medical she becomes confused at the absence of hangar personnel of any kind.
"Got one hot pizza here for Ms. Darcest!!" Hollering at the top of her lungs, "We guarantee delivery in 30 minutes or less."

I urge all Amarrians to stay calm... Insane plans of madmen are often thwarted by themselves. Most likely they themselves will be killed by this virus themselves
Personally I am only worried that I will loose a lot of slaves since I do not encourage the use of vitoc and so my slaves (if this is true) will die. The reason behind this is that vitoc is expensive and not worth using.
I wonder if The sect is aware that many slaves in the Empire are not infected with vitoc adn that vitoc is only used by professional slavers and miners...

General Release: Hedion University Medical Labs
It is with much relief that I report the Amarr race's package safely delivered to the Hedion Labs for analysis. At great cost and personal effort, the good members of PIE assisted in the safe transfer of the package from Amarr to Hedion.
I must also warn all medical teams in other parts of Eve that my ship was sabotaged. After undocking, the ship suffered numerous failures. Thankfully, PIE warped me to the gate and through to the Hedion system.
As my ship approached the Court Chamberlain Bureau, the ship set itself into self-destruct. Thankfully I was able to dock, get the package unloaded and the ship back out into space to save the cargo and the station from destruction.
Even the ship's ejection system had been tampered with, and at great personal risk, Ezar Vorbarra offered to destroy my ship to eject the pod. Concord, as usual, took the hardline on even this honorable action, and destroyed his battleship.
The labs here are beginning work on analyzing this virus for hopes of mass production of the cure.
May God Protect Amarr.
After Action Report¶
Gaven Lok'ri [PIE]
YC106-08-27 05:00
Transmission from the Armageddon class battleship TES Dominous
After action report from acting Lieutenant Gaven Lok'ri
It has been quite the long day. I took a command of frigates and scoured Amamake in search for this serum only to find that a minnie reporter had beat us to it and taken it to amarr already. We turned around at full speed and exchanged our Executors for warships to provide an escort for the Vice Admiral Vorbarra.
When we got to Amarr Emperor Station I was given the serum to bring to Hedion for the Doctor Amarria to work with. On arrival in hedion I immediately had to turn around as Amarria had arrived at Amarr Oris rather than being at hedion.
As this was now the case I took the TES Dominous back to Amarr and gave the good doctor the serum. We left the station only to find that some terrorist scum had sabotauged the Doctor's control of her ship. As we had added her to our gang for the escort I was able to slave her ship into my navcomp and force it to warp that way.
On arrival at the station in Hedion we got a nasty surprise. Right as the doctors Impairor docked it started to self destruct. Amarria rushed the cure into the station and then proceeded to attempt to get the ship out of the station so it would cause no damage.
Unfortunately the terrorists had anticipated this and disabled her ability to eject.
Admiral Ezar once again proved his worth at this point. He deduced that if the ship was set to self destruct and not to let someone eject . . . then perhaps it was also set to destroy the pod afterwards. So he attempted to stop this process by destroying the impairor himself in the hopes that if he destroyed it, he might also prevent any measures that might destroy the doctors pod.
God's grace was with us as the Vice Admiral guessed right. The doctor ejected safely, while concord opened fire like the foolish idiots they are takeing down the heroic Admiral's Apocolypse.
As the good doctor is now back in hedion with the cure it should only be a matter of time before we have a full cure.
However I do think that there might be something to learn from this. And that something is that Concord is worthless. That they would shoot down Ezar Vorbarra right as he saved possibly the entire Amarran race shows that they are not to be trusted with anything, let alone the security of our empire.
May God's grace shine on the righteous in these trying times.
Nobiscum Deus! Ave Doriam II!

Tranmission from the Armageddon class battleship TES Dominous
After action report from acting Lieutenant Gaven Lok'ri
Translated to Galatic Standard Tongue
After having sat around bored all day, I was ordered to gather some of my other layabout corp mates and see if we could find some serum In Amamake. Boy were we ****ed when we found out that an hour or so earlier a matari had found it. We could have sat back drinking, so from now on we won't mention her and see if we can steal all the credit by being the loudest and most obnoxious posters.
Of course I have to point out that I will say =I= for all credit, regardless of if it is someone from PIE or not that deserves any credit.
Failing to have inspected her ship, or offering her a ride, we found that someone left the gas cap open on her ship. This presented us a problem as the spot where she ran out of gas wasn't as secluded as all the other times we pulled this trick. So we had to help her the rest of the way instead of spending the evening playing "hide my little weenie".
Once we found Hedion, thank goodness the doctor has 152 of the 200 IQ available in our gang, we found out that we screwed up her ship too much for it to be safe. So screaming, "Terrorist Sabotage", we sat around adding grunt like noises to the discussion on how to solve it.
Once again a Matari suggested a solution, we liked it so we've decided to never mention that matari again either.
Admirial Ezar, proving to be chicken by only flying in Battleships in Secure Empire Space, proved that it takes PIE a "sledgehammer" to ***** a walnut. Truly the grace of god was with us, any other time we aim 8 guns to hit a frigate standing still it blows up everything.
Sadly CONCORD came along smacking up the back of his head and confiscated Ezar's Apocalypse. "Stole your daddy's ship again didn't you!" We think he'll be able to steal it again sometime next week though.
Now that the doctor is in hedion, doing some doctor stuff, maybe we can have less interuptions of our drinking and smacktalking binges.

Statement from Dr. Darcast¶
YC106-08-27 06:15
General Release: Hedion University Medical Labs Report
Gentle Peoples of Eve:
This report is being made enroute to the Devoid Constellation. I am recording this in the event of my death, and it is being released to all medical staff in every station of the worlds of Eve in the hopes that your people will solve the ultimate riddle of this terrorist biological attack.
The riddle is well clouded in assumption, and I am a fool. I am schooled in archeological-socialogical medical protocols dating back one millenium, and it is perhaps this reason that I stumbled across the riddle so quickly.
Despite the best efforts of terrorists, I survived the transfer of the treatment package. I state for the record that I do not believe the Sect of the Warden to be responsible for this sabotage of my ship.
The riddle of the virus cannot be answered simply by hoping to find a cure. The riddle of the virus has a cure already within its make-up. This Lysome-based virus has been altered forcibly to create a retro-virus. In the correct dosage, this virus creates cellular reconstitution to prior socialogical primacy; in short, our bodies are being made to return to the form and function of the earliest humans who entered Eve. We are being genetically altered. The Sect of the Warden have created a viral agent to return us all to the same racial baseline.
For me as an Amarr, born in the glory of God, knowing we are the Chosen of God, how could I accept these facts? How would the affairs of State be organized when the Amarr and Matari peoples were no longer so distinct? We know we are from the same race, but our history thereafter has made us distinct and the Amarr the Chosen. Will God still choose us if we are no longer differentiated by blood?
It is in smaller doses that I came to these facts. With just 1/1000th of dose, Matari with heretical Destiny Marks would no longer have these epidermal trappings. The virus removes the Mark completely, even provides some measure of youth.
Do not doubt me when I say the dose the Sect of the Warden intend to unleash will be deadly. Many will die. The cure is also its virus. You will survive or you will perish. The Matari who recovered did so, I realize now, because the virus attacks the general chemistry of the Matari blood to neutralize the RNA anti-bodies. Utterly spent, the virus can now do nothing but pass from the system. I have no doubt the Sect of the Warden knows the Matari will suffer also, and their news release states as much. I do not think they wish for it, but have accepted this as a process of making us all one again.
Only a people so shamed, so in need of acceptance and of comfort of family and friends could have engineered this virus from such intent.
The cure is to be infected, and it may also be your death.
The sequencing of the virus has led me into the Devoid Region, to a planet of importance in Amarr history. Several of the components of this virus's genetic material can only be found here in the Devoid. I may yet be able to destroy the virus without it needing to be injected on a hit and miss procedure into every Eve citizen.
May God forgive me for questioning, and may the medical teams help the peoples of Eve transition through any release of this virus into the public.

He had done many thing he wasnt proud of in the fight to free his people from tyranny, but he would do them again if it meant freeing more of his people from bondage. But this!
Matari killing Matari... Matari killing innocent people...
It was one thing to face your foe in battle head to head, with honour. To destroy convoys full to the brim with his enslaved brethren. But this was not the Matari way. He'd fight to his very end to free his people, but not like this.. not like this.
He slammed his fist on the table, he had to do something. People were dying..

I have enclosed all data we have on this virus which you have no doubt heard of. My brothers and I are on our way to attempt to locate this cure but it is not enough to save the already growing numbers of people we have reports of being infected with this virus.
I feel we need to track down thw individuals responsible for this. Although their cause is righteous, this is not the way to achieve it. By killing countless numbers of innocent people. Someone in the underground must have contacts to these people. My brothers are trying to track down any info we can from our contacts but without success so far. You have many resources at your desposal, i beg you to use them so we may stop this madness.

Amarula at her Bar¶
YC106-08-27 14:47
Amarula [Masuat'aa Matari]
02:00 EVT: The Club Marulana, located in the Republic Security Services Assembly plant orbiting Kulheim, Pator.
'It's a pretty quiet night, isn't it? Where are all the customers?'
Amarula sat alone at the bar, resting her fingers on a small glass of her namesake drink as it lay on the top of the counter. It was her day off today, she wasn't due in for work on the table until Saturday, but she liked to go to the bar on nights when her 'real' work was relatively quiet. She was pretty good friends with the bartender.
It was quiet. Apart from a couple of drunken Brutors and a lone Gallentean unconscious under one of the tables after sliding of his seat, there was hardly anyone there. The music had even dimmed so much that she could have a normal conversation with the bartender without shouting...
'Yeah, it's been like that since the news about that terrorist disease. You heard about it?' 'Terrorist disease?'
'Yeah, one of your freedom fighting buddies went berserk and started planting some kind of disease all over the empires.' The Bartender knew Amarula was one of the rebels fighting the Amarr empire against slavery, but it didn't matter to him much, she brought a lot of customers in from her friends in the movement.
'She's demanding the release of all the slaves in the Amarr empire or the disease is gonna run rampant. According to her, the only ones to survive will be those that have had Vitoc Injections for a long time, and that includes us Minmatar.'
'Aw come on, Emblur.' Amarula The Masuat'aa wouldn't do such a thing, nor would anyone else for that matter. Fighting the CVA is one thing, but killing innocent people as well as your own is unthinkable.'
'Take a look at this.' He slid a portable holo-viewer to her and switched it on as Amarula jacked the controller cable into the back of her neck. The electrical signals transmitted the audio direct to the brain as she watched the woman on the holoscreen talk calmly about the upcoming disaster looming throughout Eve.
'This is horrible...'
'Yeah, the RSS have hit on this big-time and have started refusing entry to any vessel trying to enter the station until after there's been a thorough scan on their cargo. More and more pilots are just turning around and trying to dock at some other station. Not only that, the station's on high alert, so there aren't any RSS personnel off-duty to come here. Business ain't gonna pick up until this is over...'
'This woman can't be serious! How the hell would the slaves that survive even be able to live for long without anyone to guide them from out of their previous conditions?? All that would remain would be a bunch of unsure Minmatar slaves that would gradually just die out from the lack of the Vitoc cure.'
'Well, in any case, I'm sleeping here tonight. Don't want to run into someone that's gotten through quarantine that might be infected out there...'
Amarula took out the cable out of the port in her neck and slid the holo viewer back to the Bartender.
'I'm heading back to the Stabber.'
'Please yourself. Just don't come here if you start coughing, okay?'
'Hey, I only plan on dying in my pod, pal. Night.'
02:30 EVT, MMS Stabber of Marula.
Marula headed to her quarters. She had to talk to the others about this. She sat at her neocom, and started to transmit the message...
Amarula [Masuat'aa Matari]
YC106-08-27 15:39
My brothers and sisters,
I know I am usually the cheerful, lighthearted member of our organisation, but I'm afraid I must speak about this great concern that threatens us all. This Jesra, this degraded Minmatar, she threatens us all with her madness...
When I answered the call of the Masuat'aa Matari, I swore to fight for the protection of the Minmatar people and against the slavers that ruined our way of life. However, I swore to do it honourably on the field of battle, in the space that has become our home. Jesra, however, seeks to do it differently.
Although her reasons are just, the methods will result in more than just the deaths of the Amarrians who hold our people in captivity and slavery. This Retrovirus that she has spread amongst the people of Eve will kill almost everyone, even our own people, our friends the Gallenteans, and the Caldari. We would be witnessing the extinction of all of us on a scale not seen since the closure of the Eve gate.
Jesra says that the slaves who have endured Vitoc for long periods of time would survive, but what good would that do? How will they survive if there are no Amarrians to give them the cure to survive, or if there are no Gallentean and Minmatar doctors to help create cures for the Vitoc-infected slaves that have been freed by us so far?
I ask you fellow Matari, we must act against this great threat. Even if we have to join forces with the Amarr (ptooiee!), or even our great enemies, PIE (PTOOOIEE!), I would rather that this happen instead of the death of our entire race. They say that the difference between a good man and an evil one is the choice of cause. I believe that this cannot be true, as the cause this woman fights for is righteous, but she is, in my mind, evil, and an evil that must be stopped!
I will follow whatever orders I am given, and I will fight to protect the Minmatar, and our allies. We must do something. We are the one of the strongest arms of Minmatar freedom in existence, and we have to use that power for the greater good of our people.
I await your command. May we live through this troublesome time together...
Amarula.
P.S. Next week the Club Marulana is having a half-price discount on all drinks, and I'll be performing my usual Marulan table-dance there. Let's at least live long enough for this to happen, k?
Amarula sat back, sighed deeply and closed her eyes. This week was going to be a long one...

I still fear for members of those races however as, from what we know, the virus itself is omni-contagious and the cure is race specific. This means that Caldari and Gallente citizens within the borders of Amarr and Matari space are at extreme risk.

Our battle will continue, brothers and sisters of Matar, on other days. I have awakened again, and my brethren of the Sect of the Warden are engaged in other efforts. Our plans for the freedom of all slaves, and riddance of the scourge of enslavement have been delayed only.
The Amarrian doctor's body(1) has been disposed of as befits any Amarr -- recycled for better uses. She has bought enslavers only a little more time.
- There are overlapping event timeline between this and the next chapter!
Our methods are ruthless, but do not be hypocritical. I know that many of you Matari have said out loud, in public forums, that sometimes people must die to save the whole -- even the innocent. Look to us as monsters, or look to us as a people who had a solution.
Amarrians are ordered to stay out of Ezzara. Ardishapur destroyed the sixth planet, and nearly a whole tribe of Matari. We claim it. May the Seven Khumaak of the U'Maak'akee murder every last enslaver!

When I formed the Purple Cross it was with the vision of ensuring that maniacal schemes such as this never come to fruitation and I'm glad to see my efforts were not in vain.
Jesra, let this lesson be a reminder that the vengeance that gives you strength is also your folly. A double edged sword. Learn this lesson well, or it will be another waste of a good life.

is this pandemic desease under ontrol now or not? instead of fighting the desease and finding a cure and making it available everyone kisses his own gluteaus maximus and kicks the one of the others!
i had to shoot 4 matari last night as they came towards me drooling and doddering in a station.YARRRR!! i apologize to their families but the waiter came to late to tell me they were only drunk and not infested. luckily the only witnesses to this were some more inferior lifeforms so i got rid of them very fast and without second thought.
now would the wirepullers of this whole story pls have the kindness to make a public comment if we are safe again or not to avoid such unlucky cough accidents cough in the future?

This is unofficial of course, but here's everything in a nutshell for those without the wherewithal -- like the Amarri -- to piece all the bits of this calamity together without going cross-eyed.
It would be typical of PIE to miss all the important points of events that occur throughout their space, although from reports I must say PIE did some admirable things throughout this crisis, even with the challenge of being Amarri.
If you look around a bit, you will notice that the crisis is over. The good doctor was blasted to bits by one of your own Amarri under suspicious circumstances, along with the spokesperson for the Sect of the Warden in the system of Ezzara.
The blackmarket clone of the doctor activated it seems, and she was able to relay the proper way to kill off the virus without killing off the patient at the same time. Sadly, she perished soon after because the activation of the clone failed (a clone she was forced to purchase on the blackmarket for fear of being tortured to death because she had the brains to see reality rather than being led blindly by faith). Still, I'm sure PIE will be happy that the Amarri government is torturing her family instead, all because their daughter, despite having helped save the universe [sic], was a heretic.
However, we do have to thank you, PIE, for helping to keep the good doctor safe on her trip through your space. You finally did something useful.
Others have helped to collect the treatments provided by the Sect, some have mobilized the Purple Cross to assist in backwater worlds, while others (notably the Gallente and Caldari) sat silent until after the whole mess was over. Strange breed those.
You may go about your normal slap-headedness now, noble PIE.
Just stay out of Ezzara -- the Sect of the Warden seem very intent on digging about on the planet Ardishapur blasted into bits, for reasons I can only imagine.

Due to the level-headedness of the Amarri, and the good work performed by PIE and other citizens, this crisis is abated. The threat of biological warfare is over for now.
As I speak, medical teams in every part of known space have developed the treatment as specified by various sundry personnel -- this treatment is 100% effective.
Ship pilots automatically receive this innoculation as they enter/exit a station, and all planet-dwellers or station-borne are ordered to report to their nearest medical center.
All is well in the worlds of Eve, even for the animal Matari.
Amarrians are ordered to keep an eye out for members of this small heathen Sect of the Warden, but must be careful in the prosecution of these terrorists. Concord fired on one of our own ships during this crisis, and have done nothing to assuage the fears of millions -- I condemn them for their single mindedness.
Good work my fellow Amarrians. Imagine how devestating the results if we Amarrians had not stepped in to solve the problem! Again, the Emperor and God have protected the people of Eve.
Let us turn back to the evils of Matari terrorism on the battlefield where honor is maintained in the Emperor's name!

So if someone threatens to kill your children unless you bow to his will, meaning that you would have to give up your traditions and your way of life for reasons that are neither valid nor logical to you, would you do it?
Your people have never understood that we follow the path outlined to us by god and that leaving it would mean to abandon our belief and bring the wrath of the one upon us. We will not have forgotten that when your reeducation begins.

From this we're told that the Minmatar are cowards operating underhand techniques, ones which define terrorism.
We're also reminded that the Intaki - or one in particular, after so much exposure to Gallente 'society' have no respect for the traditions of others.
Return to ****ographic holoreels and Quafe Ultra, fool, you have no place here.
It is sad and disturbing that anyone, anywhere would operate via the techniques involved here, you would threaten all, including those on your own side of the fence, with a virus? I am sickened by your blatant disregard for anything besides your pointless cause.

Thanks for the update, now I dont have to spray the interior of my 'rax with disinfecting spray, I dont remember how much ISK I spent on the stuff or how many canisters I used to far, lost count at 33.
